Judy & Bruce Wing, are a husband and wife acoustic duo from the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, BC.
After collaborating on a musical project in 2005, it became apparent that Judy and Bruce had much in common; their shared enthusiasm for performing music, quirky senses of humour, and coincidental histories had the makings of a strong partnership for both on and off stage. Since then, Judy and Bruce Wing (a.k.a Juce & Brudy) have become a familiar musical entity at community events and stages on Vancouver Island. Their eclectic repertoire combines folk, oldies, jazz, country and rock and their complementary musical styles appeal to many different audience groups.
The Wings also perform original music, featuring intertwining guitar parts and vocal harmonies, occasionally spiced up with mandolin, bass or keyboard. Judy was nominated for Female Songwriter of the Year in the Vancouver Island Indpendent Music Awards. Her warm vocals and evocative lyrics are energized by Bruce's pulsing rhythms, creative arrangements, and harmonies -- the synergy of their talents is a listening pleasure. Judy is also a writer who performs clever slice-of-life monologues that are both witty and stirring.
